The Big Thunder Bar & Grill is open by reservation only during the months of March and November, while our hours mirror that of the Mine during the tourism season from April through October.

“ Very surprised to find this place serving elk, venison, rattle snake meat. You can request the elk/venison steak, even it is not on the menu. They tasted very good, juicy, tender. Rattle snake sausage is also great. The service is very good. The cook came out and asked how the steaks we would like for tenderness. Not sure if this is standard for Keystone, but this is very pleasant surprising to us. We had lunch and then dinner at this gem. Will do it again next time in the neighborhood. ”
“ We were searching for a place to eat breakfast in town. We turned into this place with no one in the parking lot. The "OPEN" sign was on. I got down to see if they were in fact open. They were and we sat down to eat. Ordered pancakes, french toast, and the wild boar biscuits and gravy. We were SOOOO glad we stopped in here for a meal!! The service was great, and the food was equally great. Make it a stop for a meal while you're there. Full menu is available. ”
